Terms of sale

This is a SiteBest demo shop. The Sęk workshop is made up, orders are test orders and the test payment takes no money. The terms below are written as they would be for a real furniture shop, to show what it needs to cover.

1. Seller and contact

The seller is the Sęk joinery workshop near Bydgoszcz, Poland, phone +48 500 000 000, email kontakt@meble.sitebest.eu. We reply on working days, 7:00-⁠15:00 Polish time.

2. Orders and the contract

The contract is made when we confirm your order by email. For a made-to-measure table we also send a dimensioned drawing to approve; we cut the wood only after you approve it.

3. Prices and currencies

Prices include Polish VAT at 23%. In this demo the same rate applies to every country (a simplification); a real shop accounts for sales to consumers in other EU countries through the OSS scheme at the buyer’s national rate.

Prices in EUR and GBP are converted from PLN at the National Bank of Poland mid rate (table A) of the date shown next to the price, with a margin for currency conversion costs, and rounded up to the nearest 5 EUR or 5 GBP. You pay in the currency chosen at checkout; the rate and its date are saved with the order.

4. Payment

The demo shop only offers “Test payment (demo)”: you enter no card details and the order is saved as paid for testing. A real shop takes payments through an online payment provider.

5. Delivery

We deliver to Poland, Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom. Ready-made furniture ships in 3-⁠5 working days; made-to-measure tables are ready in 4-⁠6 weeks (walnut and live edge: one week longer). Large pieces travel by pallet freight to the door, smaller ones by courier. The delivery cost is shown in the basket before you order.

For deliveries to the United Kingdom the recipient pays UK import VAT, any customs duty and the carrier’s clearance fee. These amounts are not included in our prices.

6. Cancellation (returns)

You can return ready-made furniture (chairs, benches, coffee tables, shelves, bookcases, stools, the “Krąg” table) without giving a reason within 14 days of delivery. An email is enough. We refund you within 14 days of receiving it, but may wait until the furniture is back with us. The buyer pays for the return shipping.

There is no right of cancellation for the configured table or other made-to-measure furniture, because it is made to the buyer’s specification. This does not affect complaints: a fault in made-to-measure furniture is handled in the usual way.

7. Complaints

We are liable for the furniture conforming to the contract for 2 years from delivery. Send a complaint by email with a photo; we reply within 14 days. Natural features of wood (knots, colour differences between boards, small resin-filled cracks in the “Kloc” stool) are not faults.
