Finish

Colours in the drawing are approximate. White oil lightens the wood and cools its tone while the grain stays visible; it is best seen on the samples.

The leaf stores under the top. For tables up to 250 cm.

How the “Rama” is made

We glue the top from 8-12 cm wide staves, matched so the grain runs the full length. A straight edge is routed and slightly rounded; a live edge keeps the shape of the trunk along the long sides.

The oil goes on in three coats, sanded in between. Wine or coffee wipes off with a damp cloth, and a dull patch comes back with the oil from the care kit we send with the table.

Before we cut any wood, we send you a dimensioned drawing to approve. The table travels on a pallet; you fit the legs with two spanners in about fifteen minutes.
